Taking Tea

Brewing a Perfect Pot of Tea

In a tea kettle: Bring water to a rolling boil.

 

Black tea - 212 degrees

Green tea - 170 degrees

White tea - 160 degrees

Warm the tea pot before, in preparation.

 

Empty the tea pot before adding the dry leaves or bags.

 

Formula: About 1 tsp dry leaves per 8 ounces of water.

 

When water reaches a boil, pour boiling water over the tea, place lid on the pot and steep.

 

Black 3-5 minutes

Green 2-3 minutes

White 2-3 minutes

 

Remove the leaves or bags from the pot and cover with a tea cozy.
